The SMS (Murcian Health Service) has obtained the 1st Procura+ Prize for the Epico project (by CareMe).
Epico (by CareMe) is the first digital solution for patients with epilepsy. It has been launched experimentally in the health area of Cartagena and arose from teamwork between neurologists from the Santa Lucía hospital, patients and the company AICRUM IT. The project was one of the eight selected in the SMS in the call for the European initiative ‘inDemand’ for the creation of technological solutions in health.
The Procura+ Awards are managed by ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability), a network of more than 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development, present in more than 125 countries and whose basic premise is that locally designed initiatives can provide a cost-effective way to achieve local, national and global sustainability goals.
We are very proud that our tool can contribute to improving the quality of care for the nearly 10,000 citizens of the Region who suffer from epilepsy.
